This privacy policy applies to the Curva - Spine & Support app ("Application") for mobile devices that was created by Elaina ("Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

When you use the app with your scoliosis brace, we collect:
- Real-time pressure readings from sensors via Bluetooth

Device Connection
We collect Bluetooth connection data to pair with your brace monitoring device. This includes device identifiers necessary for establishing and maintaining the connection.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide real-time pressure monitoring
- Track your brace wear time and compliance
- Generate daily and historical reports
- Send alerts when pressure thresholds are exceeded
- Power the AI assistant feature
- Analyze user behavior and improve app performance
Third-Party Access
The Service Provider may share collected information with third-party services as described below. Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid in improving the Application.
Firebase (Google)
We use Firebase Realtime Database to securely store your account information and session data. Firebase is operated by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Your data is stored securely and is only accessible to you when logged into your account.
OpenAI
Our AI chat assistant feature uses OpenAI's API to provide personalized guidance about scoliosis brace usage. When you use the AI assistant:
- Your chat messages are sent to OpenAI for processing
- Summarized pressure data may be shared to provide context
- OpenAI processes this data according to their Privacy Policy
- We do not share your personal account information with OpenAI
The AI assistant is designed to provide general guidance and is not a substitute for medical advice.
Legal Disclosure
The Service Provider may disclose collected information:
- As required by law, such as compliance with legal processes
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users or investigate fraud
- To trusted service providers who work on behalf of the Service Provider
Data Storage and Security
The Service Provider takes precautions to protect user data through physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. Your data is stored securely in Firebase Realtime Database with the following protections:
- Authentication required for all data access
- Data is encrypted in transit
- Access is limited to your own user account
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. You can delete your account at any time through the app settings, which will permanently remove:
- Your user profile
- All pressure session data
- All AI summary data

Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it. You may also opt out of using the AI assistant feature at any time.
Children
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. This app may be used by minors under parental supervision for scoliosis treatment monitoring. Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor their children's Internet usage and enforce this policy.
